The Rinnai i-Series combi combines a high-efficiency condensing boiler with an on-demand water heater in one wall-mounted unit. It heats your home through radiant floors or baseboard while providing unlimited hot water on demand — no storage tank required. One appliance replaces two.

What's the difference between a boiler and a furnace?
A furnace heats air and blows it through ducts. A boiler heats water and circulates it through radiators, baseboard, or radiant floor tubing. Hydronic (water-based) heating is generally more comfortable — radiant warmth from the floor up, no blowing air, no dust circulation, and very even temperatures throughout the home.
How much more efficient is a condensing boiler?
A condensing boiler like the i-Series achieves up to 96.5% AFUE — meaning 96.5 cents of every dollar of gas becomes heat. Older conventional boilers typically run 80–85% AFUE. That's 12–15% less gas for the same comfort, which adds up significantly over a Canadian winter.
What's the difference between heat-only and combi?
The heat-only version provides space heating only and pairs with a separate water heater. The combi does both heating and hot water — saving space and eliminating a second appliance. The combi is ideal for small to mid-size homes (up to ~3 bathrooms). For larger homes with high simultaneous hot water demand, the heat-only + dedicated tankless is the better setup.
Can I use this with radiant floor heating?
